Lucky Luke for one day

This farm with 72 horses, is located outside Vernon. We decided to go horseback riding - yhaa! So we picked up some friends in Vernon and went to this place, located in the nowhere. The place was a real mess. They sure looked after the horses but the inside of the house was really chaotic and smelled of catpiss - eeeehhhh!

Defenitely not the first time on a horse! We even got real cowboy boots.

Corinne got "Bandit Boy". I don't know if he was so pleased about it...

The dogs really loved my sister!

What is that?

To cure Nicole's cold, she treated herself with flax-seed wrappers around her face, drank ginger-lemon tea and rubbed tiger balm on her chest. It did not look pretty, but it helped. She is on her feet again and can drive around in her new "Äntli" again. We found the car in Penticton and got a very good deal on it. On May 1st we finally will move to Penticton in our new suite...

Wine Tasting Tour

On my day off, we went on a little wine tasting tour to the Okanagan Falls and Oliver with my boss Darin and the head waiter Victor. On the way home, we picked up some old barrels to decorate the outside of the restaurant. It was snowing again, last week and the temperatures dropped to a risky level for all the fruit trees to -5° at night. We also visited some locations for a possible apartement or suite...

Nice little Marmets

On our last hiking tour (we actually wanted to climb up the Pincushion Mountain, but ended up completely elsewhere) we met two little marmets, wondering around their neighbourhood. And we are still looking forward to meet the bear. All we found was his prints in the snow, damn!

Discovering the area

Spring has not yet arrived in the Okanagan and snow is still covering the mountains, surrounding the lake. We enjoy discovering the area of Peachland and landed on a little farm, where we get our eggs. The Garage sales start picking up soon too and we already are exited to get some cheap stuff!

My new ride

I just bought it today! My SUBARU OUTBACK is made for the wilderness of Canada and will take me to work as well (starting next tuesday). All the papers were made within one hour and I could drive off - amazing!

skidays in Whistler

After my arrival in Canada I spent a few days with Corinne in Whistler. She took off from work and showed me all the good runs on Whistler and Blackomb Mountain. The house she lives in is small but cosy. Exept for her neighbour who celebrated his birthday without telling us. So Nikki (the owner of the house) went over to tell them to keep it down a little. She got the neighbours door slammed into her face. Later on the neighbour came to our house and hammered on our door. He was all drunk and held a joint in his hand yelling around using the f***-word a lot. Then we went to bed again and fell asleep after the situation cooled down again.

Ready for the Olympics!
